Stella Booth
Portraiture for the evening. A photographer-run photo booth for Bay Area events: fully hosted, unlimited prints all night, editorial light instead of the flat ring-light look.
What it is
Stella Booth is an open-air photo booth rental for weddings, milestone parties, and brand activations across San Jose and the wider Bay Area. Every booking comes fully hosted, I’m on-site the entire event, with unlimited sessions, custom-designed prints, and same-day galleries. Guests walk out holding a piece of the night.
I started it in 2025 because it was a low-cost way into the events world, a chance to level up my skills, and a reason to be in more rooms meeting more people. It’s the event-revenue counterpart to the portrait business, and it runs on a real stack: a static site, an inquiry pipeline into Supabase, and Dubsado handling the booking journey from inquiry to reserved to designed to the night itself.

The mentality
Design-led, accessible price
Budget booths race to the bottom; glam booths charge four figures. Stella owns the quadrant in between: design-led quality at an accessible price, San Jose native. Quality without the luxury markup.
Hosted, never a kiosk
Most booths are unattended machines. I’m physically there the whole event, reading the room, fixing problems before they happen, and making sure every guest actually uses it. The host is the product.
Never discount, add value
Same rule as the camera work: the price holds. If a client needs more, I add time or a custom print design instead of cutting the number. Insured, transparent, and serious about the craft.

The website
I designed and built stellabooth.com from scratch: a static site on Vercel, an inquiry form that writes to Supabase and fires an email notification through a Resend edge function, and Dubsado carrying the booking journey. Locked brand system, SEO structure, and a scroll-driven “booking journey” section. This is proof I ship real, live web work, not just concepts.
